Can't Stop Me Now

Well new year, new me?

Maybe, maybe not. But apart from suffering from various ailments from the end of last year and followed by this year, still failing to do Chemistry and Biology filing, my shoulder becoming tight as Schwazenegger's (omg I actually spelt his name right, first time) bum as many times as you could write,
Scwazenegger

doing 5 minutes of exercise secretly in my bedroom (which I shall pass up for today because of this morning's torturous PE lesson), needing to become more flexible, surprised that I lost 2 kg since Monday (I think due to the secret exercise and not overeating), asking new teachers about Cubism appreciation (I think the only one I might be able to appreciate is The Guernica by Picasso, but other than that most Cubism are Rorschach's inkblots to me),

The Guernica by Picasso
Rorschach's inkblot #1

signing up for volunteer work just a few hours earlier, learning how to do Christian meditation, learning that the mental illness(?) I am most prone to getting is Narcissism (I don't disagree),

Narcissus and Co.

re-starting to plan a radio comedy series, accidentally typing blooger.com and then bloger.com and then finding that the latter is a family tree plotter, getting GP tuition, and then my GP teacher becomes more conscientious about teaching, have not submitted Lit extract for vetting, stressing over Lit essay rewrites then realizing everyone hasn't done it yet, I am probably not much changed.

I actually came here to write down the Korean dramas I want to watch, but will probably not get to in this year anyway, my sudden secret new resolution is to not watch any Korean dramas. Immediately upon reflection, I already think it is a bad idea, but then again I wrote it in such a way it does not exclude watching Supernatural. Which Yiwei did, all 10 seasons in 3 weeks at the expense of any homework done during the holidays. And I thought that spending that whole of New Year's Day watching Supernatural was bad enough. Obviously, I was wrong. Okay, okay but to the list of things that I will not watch this year, but will watch when I get to those bridges.

Want to watch:
1. Misaeng
\
I have not heard of anyone who has watched this drama, but it's getting really good reviews, so I will probably want to watch it.

2. Marriage, Not Dating
Sounds very interesting. Would like to watch a comedy for once.

3. Three Musketeers
Omg three musketeers in the Joseon era. I think that's just totally hot(?) hahahah I mean after watching Dae JangGeum (Da ChangJin) the whole official get-up is super attractive to me, just like wearing a Victorian dress, only that I like to see people wearing it.

Dramas that I may watch/watching half way:
4. Medical Top Team
After watching Good Doctor twice, because it so damn good, I'm not sure if this drama really tickles my fancy. The orphaned boy, tortured by evil orphanage director/adoptive father storyline is a bit iffy to me. But the intensity and complexity of the surgeries are much higher than that of Good Doctor, but then again, they don't have a Savant Syndrome boy in the operating room. Anyway, I still think Joo Won has exceptional acting still. Basically anyone who can pull off being a injured/sick/autistic person eg. Joo Won as Si On in Good Doctor and Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Hawking in Hawking is BRILLIANT.

5. Liar Game
Recommended by Sarah, this might really be interesting to watch, or to compare with the Japanese original version, but somehow such fantastic plot lines are usually too much to bear. I think I can only handle fantastic plot lines as long as its meant to be a comedy ie. Rooftop Prince. For example, I completely did not understand the real point of Spirited Away (please don't bash me) and I kinda just accepted Howl's Moving Castle as what it is and tried not to think too much about it. It's quite nice, but the movie itself with no background is quite weird and at the end, both Howl and Sophie pretty much look like two girls.

6. Master's Sun
Sounds interesting but after Supernatural, this might be a little silly? Okay sorry that judging but, Supernatural is clearly an all man show (yes there are a few girls that are hunters but still) and is not a romance, unless you like bromance. Okay I should stop here before I say anything too offensive.

Onwards to Supernatural, I'm at season 5 now.
I kinda liked how Dean became the angels' boy and Sam became the demons' boy even though clearly in the first two seasons you would think it would be the other way round, but it really really suits it and I like it. I really like the season finale intro music:

"Carry on my wayward son,
There'll be peace when you are done.
Lay your weary head to rest,
Don't you cry no more."

/cue music/

And I finally watched the episode where Dean does the scream and the one where he plays the imaginary drums to "Eye of the Tiger". If you haven't seen the "blooper" you can find it on Youtube, but if you watched to the end of the episode, you would have seen it. The one where Jensen continues dancing because Jared didn't come in at the cue and they kept rolling the film. BRILLIANT.

Misha Collins is freaking adorable. The number of characters he has pulled off (extremely well) in the short span of not even half a season is amazing. Also don't forget to check out him finding bank notes with "Are you Misha Collins?" scribbled on them and him actually shipping Destiel.

Obviously the last one was a joke, but a good one in any case.

OMG CABIN PRESSURE ZURICH PARTS 1 AND 2!! MAJOR FANGIRL NEVER STOP and also NEVER STOP CRYING.

The only thing we can do now is hope and pray that John Finnemore decides to pick it up again. We also notice that the company is OJS (Our Jet Still) and Douglas (now Captain) and Herc (First Officer) are now flying to a place that also happens to start with the letter A...

I have taken up watching Brooklyn Nine Nine starring, Andy Samburg, Terry Crews and Joe Lo Truglio etc Oh goodness why do I like the stupid dorks.

And also in continuation on Terminator appreciation, my favourite one in the series is definitely Terminator Salvation (Sam Worthington!!!!). Other actor eye candy also includes: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ben Affleck and Jean Claude Van Damme (check out Universal Soldier!!!!), Russel Crowe (Gladiator)

Movies I'm Never Watching:
1. Noah
Just NO. Don't screw up my Bible stories for me just because you have a really pretty Emma Watson in it.

2. Seventh Son
NO. JOSEPH DELANEY HOW COULD YOU LET HOLLYWOOD SCREW UP YOUR BEAUTIFUL SERIES!!?!?! Okay, but really his books are worth checking out. Screw the movie. Seriously. You just can't cram 13 books into one movie, just as you can't make 3 movies out of a children's book (I'M TALKING TO YOU, PETER JACKSON) but anyway PJ did successfully squeeze three movie tickets and a board game worth out of me because of the franchise. But if you haven't, The Hobbit, the book is fantastic, even if you have no intention of picking up The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Children's Book I Love and will Never Not ReRead: (in no particular order because I love them all)
1. Wolf Brother (Chronicles of Ancient Darkness series) by Michelle Paver
2. Airborn, Skybreaker, Starclimber (series) by Kenneth Oppel
3. Airman by Eoin Colfer
4. The Spook's Apprentice (series) by Joseph Delaney + also the new series starring Tom Ward alone (ongoing series)
5. The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

As you see as a child I was mostly inspired by adventure and fantasy fiction, two of which are about flight in a rustic setting, one is set in the Mesolithic period, one is about ghosts and evil creatures and things that go bump in the night, the last of which is about a grumpy stay-at-home Hobbit unwittingly dragged along on an adventure.

Anyway, if I have time I might go back to blogging at my first-post-and-already-dead Literature blog, where I might post up some of my random poetry scribbles, book reviews, word games, various. Gosh I even forgot the blog address. Typical.

Okay it's at PoetryandDayDreams.

Love, we must part now. Sick of typing anyway. Also sorry about the half-hearted picture putting. I gave up, if you hadn't already noticed.
