| 0 notesMy best friend would undoubtly be Lesley. At first, she was just like, 'another girl' from class, but after that, I found that we were actually very similar. When we became closer and best friends, I wrote a little letter to her and she wrote back about me. She gave me a little pebble painted yellow, and she gave me one to paint for her. It was on an outing, and I sadly lost that little pebble (because it was transparent, I put it in a whit plastic bag, and my mum threw that away) so I took one from my own home and painted it purple (her favourite colour) for her.
We'd always hang out in school together, and we did everything together, from eating in the canteen to doing project work with our little tight bunch consisting of Lesley, Yueying, Jubily and I.
When it came that we had to choose secondary schools, I really had no idea where I wanted to go, and I think she did not either. So I said I wanted to go to SCGS because I preferred it to RGS, definitely. Due to "peer pressure", I said, okay, I would go to RGS. I left it to a later date to decide. A life-changing moment here. Mr Ang came into class and asked, 'For girls only, who wants to go to Nanyang Girls High?' I was actually did not want to take the doorhanger, but I thought, what the hey! And I never regretted!
I went to both Nanyang's and RGS' Open Houses, and I left Nanyang convinced. I would go to Nanyang. No where else would have the same place in my heart. When I got back to school, of course I had to tell Lesley about my decision. I was so happy when she told me that she wanted to come too. No one else had shown any interest in going to Nanyang, and I was glad I had her by my side.
Of course, now I feel glad that we stuck together and didn't separate. We used to come on different buses to school, so Sarah and I (who reaches first) would wait for her. After that, our timings got a little off and we had stuff to do, so we don't wait for each other aymore. Anyway, we still take lifts home from each other (and the parents will nag and nag us about who is picking us up). Anyway, after many countless changes, we are all in the same bus now. Haha! We win! :D
Sometimes I feel lonely, and I'm glad we're still here for each other. Haha! The Horoscope thingy also said that people born on April 10 will have "lasting friendships", but I think thats a load of coincidental rubbish. Ha! Oh yeah. Done here.
