who am i and what am i here for?

Two excellent and very apt questions in which modern people, who have nothing better to do, ie myself, ask themselves before going to bed.

Also I am most prone to have a narcisstic personality if I did have a mental disorder one in which the people tend to imagine they have an audience in their minds which they speak to. I am concerned for my mental health. I always choose I poor sod victim and hold him in one-sided conversation for what seems like a long time, but probably only max 5 minutes.

But actually I wanted to post about today's literary discussion which lead into why people wrote plays like that because of their economic status and pragmatism.   Life was clearly shorter and cheaper in Shakespeare's time and before that, so the common folk probably didn't have much time to think "Who am I? What am I here for?" and perhaps be self-aware in general. Of course, one probably can't say that these thoughts never crossed any common Joe's mind, but they probably also did not have enough education or experiences outside their own to compare notes and reach their own conclusions. Even if they wanted to and knew how to, they probably were thinking about how to survive today over such questions. If they had nothing to do really, I don't know what was stopping them and I would never know why. I really wonder what kind of a 吃饱饭没事做 kinda guy Shakespeare was. But he's really good, I'll give him that. He's one of those few people at that time who were recognized in their own lives. Not like a handful (or a lot, I dont know) of really sad musicians, only discovered post-mortemly.

Self-awareness can be a bitch really and screw up your life even more than it already probably is. It does for me sometimes really. I would like to please everyone at the same time and I know it and I hate it why can't I be more thick skinned sheesh. It forces you to rethink about your own actions and the consequences and what if I did something else would I have made a better choice what would I have lost shit maybe I should have done it but screw it its too late screw my own reputation ah shit my reputation. Yes that's what it does to you. But when not otherwise caught in dilemmas, self-awareness can be quite nice too.

Like some shitty Chinese philosophy be more open-minded and sensitive to your own feelings! Don't do the 100m sprint, do it cross country! Find happiness and smile even if you don't want to!

Imma frown when I want to dammit.

Chinese philosophy can be quite screwed up. While certain things like above can make you great and wonderful and reach enlightenment etc then there are people like Amy Chua who would whip herself some knaves (nah I'm just playing) for her own reputation. She's got the Purse and the Power and the Pride and the Purpose. She gon make her kids better than yo kids cos everything you can do Amy does better. Amy's kids can do anything better than yours. Okay rant stop now.

Need to sleep. Nothing but homework and studying ahead to do tomorrow.

Ciao.
